Many people wait for things to feel “bad enough” before reaching out. The truth is, therapy isn’t only for crisis. It can be a place to understand yourself better, untangle patterns that keep repeating, or simply have one hour a week that belongs entirely to you.

Gentle signs it might be time

Maybe you’ve noticed that sleep, appetite or energy have shifted. Perhaps worries loop long after the moment has passed, or relationships feel more strained than usual. Sometimes it’s quieter than that — a sense of being stuck, flat or not quite yourself. Any of these are valid reasons to talk to someone.

You don’t need a diagnosis to begin

A good first session is a conversation, not a test. You can arrive unsure of what to say, and your therapist will help you find the thread. If it feels useful, you keep going. If it doesn’t, that’s useful information too.
